This college professional wanted to know if she was a candidate for veneers. One of her permanent teeth had failed to erupt, resulting in multiple spaces and unsightly gaps. Her teeth were a yellow gray color, several of her teeth had discolored fillings, and she had an overbite. Asymmetry in her gum heights also detracted from her smile. She was referred to orthodontic and jaw surgery specialists for evaluation to get an ideal result, but was uncomfortable with those treatment options. She wanted to undergo a smile makeover with the teeth in their existing position, a challenging proposition. She chose to use whitening, removal of the incompletely erupted tooth and grafting of the subsequent defect, gum sculpting for better symmetry, restoration with crowns and veneers, and bite guard therapy. She got an extremely attractive result.
