About Porcelain Veneers Understanding the Basics
There are numerous misconceptions of how veneers work. Here are three key points to help you understand how and why they are used.
Thin Porcelain Shells
Veneers are thin shells of tooth-colored porcelain that are fitted over the front of a flawed tooth. A small amount of enamel (less than one millimeter) is removed to accommodate the veneer.
Masking Cosmetic Flaws
With dental veneers in place, imperfections on the front of the teeth are hidden from view. Great care is taken to ensure the veneer fits properly and makes your tooth appear pristine.
Virtually Undetectable
Veneers are semi-translucent, which means light passes through them just like natural teeth. Even up close, most people won't notice your veneers: only your beautiful smile.

"Dr. Balloch Is Second to None" 5-Star Reviews
Having been a licensed clinical social worker, I recognize in others everything from excellence to mediocrity, professionals notwithstanding. Dr. Balloch is the quintessential professional, a dentist who is a perfectionist, innovative, highly skilled, exceptional, caring, concerned, and, second to none. I am satisfied beyond words to have chosen this practice for my dental needs. Thanks to Dr. Balloch, dentist phobia, for me, is nonexistent. I highly recommend Dr. Balloch, and have done so to friends and family. Many thanks, Dr.Balloch, for bringing me this far along. :)
View On GoogleI highly recommend Dr Balloch and his staff for any dental work. I had extensive restorative and cosmetic work done recently and everything was done perfect. Results were great! From the start, the many trip process was explained in detail, all aspects were communicated clearly. The office was always punctual. One thing I don't have is time to waste, and they didn't waste any of mine. Everyone was very nice and accommodating. Dr Balloch and his assistant Lisa were very caring and concerned about my comfort. They never let me to be in any pain. If I had to do it again I would pick Dr Balloch.

A Leading Glastonbury Dentist Who Takes Time to Listen
After a lot of research, I decided to go to Dr. Balloch for cosmetic dentistry because of the stellar work displayed on his website, and the great reviews his practice has received. The staff at Dr. Balloch's office is very personable and skilled. I immediately felt very comfortable with Dr. Balloch. He has a warm, calm demeanor and really listens to what your dental goals are and provides you with options to achieve them. I didn't at any point feel like he was trying to push me to do work I didn't feel comfortable with. The cost was reasonable and I couldn't be happier with the job he did on my veneers! The size, color and texture blend so well with the rest of my teeth, they look so natural. I feel so comfortable with my smile now!
I have been going here for years. They are very caring and competent. Any procedures that I have had done here have been next to pain free. They have been known to stop and make sure that everything was okay when working on me. I was always fine and I have even experienced them calling me later to check on me. I wholeheartedly recommend this office.

Outstanding. Hard to describe how beautiful my teeth look. I was a complicated case, and Dr. Balloch and his entire team was completely focused on ensuring everything worked perfectly. I had many extra visits (due to my own issues) and I was always given priority and extra care. The temporaries were so beautiful it was hard to believe the permanents would be even better--but they are. All issues resolved and I couldn't be happier. Tremendous service by the entire staff and amazing outcome. Highly recommend.
