Invisalign is a great way to straighten your teeth, wearing clear plastic trays that fit over your teeth that are custom made from taking impressions. A new set of aligners is inserted every two weeks in which you will notice small movements over a period of time. Depending on the tooth movement needed determines how long the case is actually going to be, but most cases are about 12 months in duration. In our office, most of our Invisalign patients are young-adults to senior citizens who really would prefer not to have metal brackets on their teeth. For the most part they have really good dental health that would make them a good candidate for wearing these trays. Some patients may feel that straightening your teeth is a cosmetic procedure, but in reality it does allow your teeth to have better bone stability over a lifetime and allows you to clean your teeth easier. During your first Invisalign visit, we will take photos and impressions and send them to the lab. On your second visit, we will insert your first set of aligners. After that, you will return every six weeks for us to deliver your next set of aligners and for us to check the progress of your tooth movement. For more information, schedule a consultation to see if you're a candidate for Invisalign.
