Teeth in a Day with All-on-4 Dental Implants

All-on-4® technology has reduced the dental implant timeline, allowing patients to receive teeth in a single day. The All-on-4 approach involves embedding four implant posts into the jaw and attaching a full dental arch to the posts—all in one appointment. This technology allows patients to bypass the several-month healing period associated with traditional dental implants. Drs. Steven Balloch in Hartford, CT, can create an All-on-4 treatment plan for you that restores your smile and oral function in one convenient visit.

All-on-4 dental implants are a safe and convenient method of restoring missing teeth.

All-on-4 Implant Candidacy

All-on-4 implants are a type of implant that requires less jawbone tissue than traditional dental implants, making it a viable treatment option for many patients with several or many missing teeth. During your consultation, your dentist will determine if All-on-4 is the most advantageous treatment, or if another therapy can better address your unique needs. To make this determination, your dentist will thoroughly review your medical and dental history, and examine images of your oral structure.

The All-on-4 Procedure

On the day of your procedure, you will be given an anesthetic to numb the area, and you will have the option of receiving additional sedation, if necessary. Next, the doctor will create four small holes in the jawbone. The implant posts will be threaded through the holes, and a natural-looking denture will be attached to the implants. You can leave our office with a complete set of stable dentures that allow you to eat, speak, and smile with complete confidence that they will not slip out of place.

The All-on-4 technique allows for reduced healing times, but patients should plan on taking approximately one week off from work. Post-surgical pain can usually be controlled with over-the-counter medications. Patients will return to our office about two to three weeks after their procedure for a follow-up appointment. In many cases, patients will originally be fitted with temporary dentures, and will return to our offices four to six months later to have their permanent dentures placed.

"The All-on-4 technique allows patients to receive dental implants and a full dental arch in one convenient visit."
