Teeth in a Day with All-on-4 Dental Implants

All-on-4® is a revolutionary treatment concept that has reduced the dental implant timeline, allowing patients to receive teeth in a single day. This treatment has allowed management of patients with failing teeth or terminal dentition and can be accomplished without the patient having to ever wear a removable denture. The treatment also does not require bone grafting and will utilize patient's existing bone. The All-on-4 approach involves embedding typically four implant posts into the jaw and attaching a full dental arch to the posts—all in one appointment. This technology allows patients to bypass the several-month healing period associated with traditional dental implants. Dr. Avinash S. Bidra and Dr. Steven Balloch in Hartford, CT, can create an All-on-4 or All-on-6 treatment plan for you that restores your smile and oral function in as low as one convenient procedure visits. All-on-4 dental implants
All-on-4 dental implants are a scientifically documented, safe and convenient method of restoring missing teeth. At our practice, we only use high quality dental implants and biomaterials such as Nobel Biocare and Straumann which are backed by hundreds of scientific studies on thousands of patients followed-up for numerous years. We do not use copycat products or cut corners and stand behind our work.

All-on-4 Implant Candidacy

All-on-4 implants are a type of implant treatment that requires less jawbone tissue than traditional dental implants, making it a viable treatment option for many patients with several or many missing teeth or who do not want to wear dentures. The procedure typically does not require bone grafting and has been documented in hundreds of scientific publications. During your consultation, Dr. Avinash Bidra will listen to your concerns, examine your mouth, obtain radiographs and CT scans and then determine if All-on-4 is the most advantageous treatment, or if another therapy can better address your unique needs. To make this determination, Dr. Bidra will thoroughly review your medical and dental history, and examine images of your oral structure.

The All-on-4 Procedure

On the day of your procedure, you will be given an anesthetic to numb the area, and you will have the option of receiving additional sedation, if necessary. Next, the doctor will create four small holes in the jawbone. The implant posts will be threaded through the holes, and a natural-looking denture will be attached to the implants. You can leave our office with a complete set of stable dentures that allow you to eat, speak, and smile with complete confidence that they will not slip out of place.

The All-on-4 technique allows for reduced healing times, but patients should plan on taking approximately one week off from work. Post-surgical pain can usually be controlled with over-the-counter medications. Patients will return to our office about two to three weeks after their procedure for a follow-up appointment. In many cases, patients will originally be fitted with temporary dentures, and will return to our offices four to six months later to have their permanent dentures placed.

"The All-on-4 technique allows patients to receive dental implants and a full dental arch in one convenient visit."
